Organisational Structure of World Kabaddi Federation (WKF)

World Congress (General Assembly)

General Assembly (AGM) is the supreme and policy making body of the WKF Comprising Founder Members, Ordinary Members (Registered National Associations/ Federations) in good standing and the active life members entitled to attend and vote which meets once a year here after called World Congress.

Council of Patrons
The Council of Patrons comprising persons of distinction, distinguished Kabaddi personals, prominent intellectuals and representatives of International sports organizations as the Executive Board may invite and nominate for the period as decided by the Executive Board for seeking guidance and advices for the management and promotion of the World Kabaddi Federation shall be Chief Patron, Patrons and Vice Patrons.

Executive Board
The Executive Board members will be elected by the General Assembly for a period of four years during its AGM. The management and control of the Federation shall be vested in the Executive Board who shall be the Governing Body of the Federation and who may exercise all such powers and do all such acts and things as the Federation.

The Executive Board shall consist of 1 President, 1 Executive Chairman, 5 Vice Presidents and 5 Directors. The Executive Board shall consist of founder members as permanent members included in the above posts with or without election as applicable as per AoA Chapter 1, Article 41.

The following office bearers namely, 1 President, 1 Executive Chairman, 3 Vice Presidents and 4 Directors shall be elected in general meeting and hold offices for four years. All the other remaining office bearers of Executive Board shall be nominated by the President and Executive Chairman if available after considering the claim of Founder members. The retiring office bearers shall be eligible for re-election subject to the provisions of the Act as per AoA Chapter 1, Article 42.

All the afore stated officer bearers /executive board members may be elected wholly or partly by unanimous decision of the annual general meeting even in the absence of some candidates as per AoA Chapter 1, Article 43.

Advisory Board
Advisory Board comprising experienced Kabaddi personals, former WKF officials, supporters and prominent administrators will be appointed or nominated by the Executive Board for the period as decided by the Executive Board for guiding and seeking advices for the functioning of the Federation.

Executive Committee
Executive Committee members will be appointed by the Executive Board for a period as prescribed by the Executive Board with prescribed powers delegated for the administration of the Federation. It is mandatory that the candidate must be either an active member nominated by the WKF member Associations/ Federations or a member in good standing of Friends of Kabaddi.

Regional WKF
For effective administration of the regions of WKF, there will be a Regional WKF Secretariat headed by its Chairman who will be appointed by WKF Executive Board for a period as prescribed by the Board. Recommendations of concerned regional affiliates may be also taken in to consideration for such appointment.

It is mandatory that the candidate must be either an active member nominated by the WKF member Associations/ Federations or a member in good standing of Friends of Kabaddi.

Directors
Directors of Traditional Kabaddi, Circle Kabaddi, Beach Kabaddi and Indoor Kabaddi shall be appointed by the Executive Board for a period as prescribed by the Board.

It is mandatory that the candidate must be either an active member nominated by the WKF member Associations/ Federations or a member in good standing of Friends of Kabaddi.

Commissions
Chairman of the Technical, Athletes, Youth and Women & Sport shall be appointed by the Executive Board consisting of its members together with or without members of the Federation for a period as prescribed by the Board.

Committees
The Executive Board will constitute other Committees consisting of its members together with or without members of the Federation for the administration of the Federation as and when required.
